Calling all teenage Childhood Eye Cancer Trust members! We need you to help us put together the next edition of Teen Focus.

If you’re interested in journalism, photography, editing or web design then this opportunity is definitely for you. You’ll spend a week in the CHECT offices in Whitechapel, London, putting together a special online edition of the newsletter.

The week long newsroom experience will be held during the summer holidays.

Working with the CHECT staff team, the week will start with a planning meeting, where we’ll come up with ideas and decide what stories are going to be included in the next edition. You’ll then get down to researching, writing and editing stories, and sourcing photos.

You’ll also get involved in designing and uploading content to our new Teen Focus magazine website, learning valuable web skills. Once it’s ready to go live, we’ll share the website with all of our CHECT members and supporters – and you can show it to your friends and family!

Not only is this a great chance to get some CV boosting work experience, it will also give you the opportunity to have your say, and meet and work with other teenagers who have been affected by retinoblastoma.

If you’d like to take part, please email our Communications Manager Natasha Boydell at natasha.boydell@chect.org.uk or call 020 7377 5578.
