We are delighted to announce that we will be holding our next members’ weekend in 2017 – so please get the date in your diary!

The event will be held from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 September, at Academy Newland Park, in Buckinghamshire.

The weekend will be an opportunity to meet others who have been affected by retinoblastoma, make new friends and spend quality time together away from the stresses and strains of the hospital environment.

It is open to any of our members who have been affected by retinoblastoma and their loved ones and there will be a fun-packed programme of activities to suit all ages, from children’s games and sporting events to teenage and adult only workshops.

More details about the programme of events and venue will follow nearer the time, but it is easily accessible by road, rail and London Underground and we’ll be doing shuttle runs from local train stations. All catering will be included.

Our hotly anticipated members’ weekend is part of a number of activities we have going on throughout the year to mark our 30th anniversary. CHECT has been supporting families affected by retinoblastoma since 1987.

It’s our third members’ weekend and we hope to see lots of new faces, as well as many of our old friends, there. We’ll be sending out invitations shortly and setting up a dedicated section on our website too, which we’ll keep you posted about.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, or you’d like to get involved in the event in any capacity, from volunteering to lending your skills at a workshop, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you – call 020 7377 5578 or email events@chect.org.uk.
