What better day to launch the new Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) lottery than on the first day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?
Not only can you be in with a chance of winning £25,000 each week but for every £1 you spend, 50p will go directly to CHECT to help raise awareness of retinoblastoma and support those affected by it.
Vital funds for CHECT
For many years hospices and charities around the UK have benefited from significant success raising thousands of pounds through lottery schemes. CHECT is now happy to offer members and supporters this opportunity as an additional or alternative way of supporting the work we do.
Unity was chosen by CHECT to deliver this lottery scheme because it has over 30 years experience in providing fundraising lottery platforms and was winner of the Institute of Fundraising “Best Lottery Provider” in 2014 and 2015. Sterling Lottery Group set up Unity Lottery to help small charities that would otherwise be unable to fund an independent lottery scheme.
For just £1 per week you can be in the weekly draw and can win up to £25,000.
So, how does it work?
When you sign up to play you will be given a six-digit Unity Lottery number, which will remain yours for as long as you keep playing. You can pay for as many numbers as you wish.
Winners are those whose number matches 3, 4, 5 or all 6 digits of the winning number in the correct place in the sequence.
For a 6 number match the prize will be £25,000, 5 numbers £1,000, 4 numbers £25, 3 numbers £5
When are the numbers drawn?
Every Saturday, the winners are selected at random and prize cheques issued and posted directly to you. There is no need for you to claim.
How CHECT benefits
For every £1 received, 50 pence is guaranteed to come to CHECT. The remaining 50 pence is used by UNITY to provide prizes and cover administration costs.
