Mum Fran shared some lovely photos of her son Reggie and how he is getting on:
“Reggie has been screened for retinoblastoma (Rb) since he was 2 weeks old, as he carried the gene with a high risk, due to myself having had Rb as a baby. He’s had 17 general anaesthetics at The Royal London Hospital to check his eyes which, so far, have been clear of any tumours 🥳 On 14/02/2024 we had the wonderful news that we could be transferred to a facility closer to home to be checked every 6 months, and he no longer needs to be under general anaesthetic when checked. Reggie has now had four awake screenings at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital in Cardiff. He has eye drops (which he is very brave with) had his eye test, eyes checked and sits beautifully to have photos of the backs of his eyes taken.”
