Young Lives vs Cancer’s latest research shows, on average, children and young people with cancer are travelling 350 miles and spending £250 each month, all to get to hospital. 71% are struggling to meet these costs, and one in 10 are missing or delaying their treatment because the costs are so high. Many are worrying about finances at a time when all they should be focusing on is getting through treatment. They are calling for your help to call for better financial support, through a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund and expanding the Scottish Young Patient Family Fund.
